The Power of “One” – Inspirational Poetry

The Power of “One”

Have you ever wondered how a little “one” thing can make a difference?

Words make people consider anything from love to loss, indeed poetry does what little else can, it can inspire. Poetry is the medicine of the soul.

“Poetry is what happens when nothing can.” – Charles Bukowski

One Song can spark a moment

One picture can capture a moment

One Flower can wake the dream

One voice can speak with wisdom

One tree can start a forest

One bird can herald spring

One smile begins a friendship

One star can guide a ship at sea

One handclasp lifts a soul

One word can frame the goal

One vote can change the nation

One session can change your perception

One candle wipes out the darkness

One sunbeam lights a room

One laugh will conquer gloom

One step must start each journey

One word must start a prayer

One touch can show you care

One heart can know what is true

One hope will raise our spirits

One chance can make a difference

One hug makes you feel the touch

One kiss witnesses the love

One love can hurt you for life

One love can make your life

One thought can change the world

One meeting can change everything

One Fall for someone is beyond controlling

One forgiveness can mend a relation

It’s all up to you <3

“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words”.

– Robert Frost
